Structures – new or renovated public structure, municipal building, community center, public safety facility, etc.

Transportation – new construction, pavement rehabilitation, roadway widening, bridge (new, widening or rehab), multi-modal, etc.

Traffic and Mobility – traffic improvements traffic calming, signal synchronization, ITS, etc.; mobility improvements for bike, pedestrians, NEV, ADA accessibility, etc.

Water & Wastewater – new, replacement or upgrade project related to storm drain, flood protection, domestic water, reclaimed water, irrigation water, and sanitary sewer systems

Recreational Facilities – new, renovated or modernized parks, outdoor amphitheaters, playgrounds, sports facilities & fields, nature trails and aquatic facilities.

Revitalization - beautification projects such as streetscape, median landscaping, parkway landscaping.

Creative & Innovative – show or demonstrate resourcefulness to create a new idea as it relates to projects and project approach; water/energy conversation; public works operations, management and technology; student programs; etc.
