Program Overview

One of the most valuable assets your career can have is a good mentor. The Mentoring Program is one of the many development opportunities offered to you as part of your membership in APWA through the So Cal Chapter.  In addition to providing an excellent relationship-building opportunity, the program focuses on helping mentee’s develop core job competencies in order to be more successful both personally and professionally.

If you are interested in participating in the Mentoring Program as a protégé, you must complete a Mentoring Program Application during the annual call for interest. The application asks you to identify a competency area you would like to develop. Protégés and Mentors are encouraged to meet at least once a month to work on goals outlined in their development plans.
